Grill-- For Dummies
I'll be honest with you: I'm a simple man with simple tastes. I don't know the
first thing about au gratin or au jus or tampico, and when I see ads that want
me to buy things like the Weber
1781001 Summit E-650 Grill- Propane- Black, I
have to admit that my head really does start to spin. I don't know anything
about grills or propane or even stainless steel, so the idea that I'd start to
tell you anything about it is ludicrous.
I am a fan of steak, though, and have eaten at the Weber Grill restaurant
before. I guess they use the same kind of grill? To tell you the truth, I have
no idea. I just know that I prefer my steaks rare and my fries crisp, and every
time I've been into one of Weber's restaurants both have been just the way I
like them.
But as to this particular grill, I don't know. The last time I tried grilling
anything I damn near burned my house to the ground and so the wife won't let me
near it. That wasn't a Weber, of course: it was one of the open kind. You put
charcoal in the grill, lighter fluid, and then hope the whole thing doesn't
explode. Well, the last time I tried grilling anything, I must have put too much
fluid in or something because the whole grill just burst into flame. Scared my
twelve-year-old half to death.
Luckily, though, this switch to electric is a much more controlled flame. The
best part is that since it's a propane grill I don't have to risk the whole
thing with the fluid, and being that it's made out of stainless steel instead of
the bricks my house was made out of, it's sure is easier to clean.
